Mr. Dickson is the Youth Pastor at the Church at South Lake in Clermont, Florida and is currently in the Master's of Theology program at Liberty University. For the last two years he has taught Chapel, Bible, Senior Leadership and Apologetics at Lamplighter Academy.
Mr. Dickson has an incredible gift of making Biblical truths come to life for students, inspiring them to seek the Lord first, and connecting with them on campus.

Joshua Englert
Guitar
Upon discovering his love for guitar at the age of 9, Mr. Englert dedicated himself
to the study and expression of music. He has been under the apprenticeship of
master guitarists through both private and group lessons. Mr. Englert was
homeschooled since kindergarten and graduated high school at 17 years of age
with his A.A. degree through the dual enrollment process.
While in college, Mr. Englert practiced a minimum of four hours per day and
developed his craft by receiving his Bachelor's degree in music at Rollins College. Teaching guitar since 2000 through both group and private lessons, Mr. Englert
is every bit as passionate and gifted an instructor as a performer. He adapts
his methods to each student's interest and skill, instilling a love for music while developing fundamental habits. He is currently living in Clermont with his wife
Alicia of 13 years and three young children.

Rebekah Gibson-Cribbs
Middle School English - Lost Tools of Writing
Rebekah graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in
Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida. She
proceeded to teach for the Department of Defense in Yokosuka, Japan,
and Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, as well as the Alachua County School Board in
Gainesville, Florida, before having children of her own.
Serving military family members stationed overseas, she owned and operated
her own piano studio in Gaeta, Italy. She also coached competition teams
for FLL and JrFLL in Hawaii. In the past 5 years, she taught LEGO
robotics at the OPLUG summer camp, where she taught everything from
WEDO 2.0 to EV3. During the school year, Rebekah taught English to
Chinese students thru VIPKid. Most recently, she tutored the Journeyman
class for a Classical Conversations campus in the 2021-2022 school year.
Rebekah homeschooled her own four children since their birth. As her
own children have grown, so has her love for each stage in life. She is
passionate about every child learning that God created them for a purpose
and helping each child find their purpose in God.

Mark Goff
Choir & Advanced Singing
Mark Goff’s professional career as a music educator, vocal coach, musician and music director spans over 34 years. Currently Mark is the Worship Arts Pastor at Family Church here in the West Orange area. He just completed 10 yrs. of service as Choral Director and 8 yrs. as Praise Band Director at Foundation Academy.
Mark has been serving as a voice coach for the record & touring industry working with some of your favorite boy bands, pop and rock artists. Mark has also been working as a music director/musician and vocalist for shows in the corporate convention industry and as a session singer. He continues to serve as a Vocal Coach & Music Director for Walt Disney World Entertainment since 2004.
Mark has been a performer for Walt Disney World Entertainment singing with The Voices of Liberty and 4-4-$1. He continues to gig as a professional singer and bassist.
Mark brings a broad range of music industry and teaching experience to Lamplighter Academy and is excited about the possibilities for the talented students at the school!

Abigail Marchetti
Ladies Apologetics
Miss Marchetti is passionate about defending the Christian faith, and her dream is to share the joy of apologetics and theology with young women, equipping them with greater knowledge of God so they can be confident witnesses and defenders of the Gospel.
She has taught Middle School English and currently teaches Apologetics 1 and 2 at Lamplighter Academy. She received her Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Central Florida and is currently working towards a certificate in Theology from Reformation Bible College.
In her spare time, Miss Marchetti loves reading good books, drinking matcha green tea lattes and singing with her mom.

Sara Santti
Algebra 1 & Geometry with Algebra 1.5
Mrs. Santti is a teacher and homeschooling mom to three children. She has taught professionally in the elementary classroom, at homeschool co-ops, and online in addition to some private tutoring. She is an active member and volunteer in her church. She enjoys spending time traveling with her family, outdoor activities and weekly family movie nights.

Julie Vargas
Theater, Journalism and Photography, Band & Instrument Lessons
Mrs. Vargas has studied and teaches within three main focuses: Music, writing, and photography. She began her education as a full-scholarship saxophone performance major, and continued to add choir, piano, child development, and education to her classical and jazz music courses.
Three summers of specialized training in Nashville, TN, also guided her in stage technique and songwriting as she traveled regionally to perform her own original contemporary pop and Christian music.
She has taught private piano, voice, saxophone, and clarinet for over 18 years, while teaching in Montessori, private school, and homeschool classrooms. She is in her
10th year of teaching creative writing and literature classes, and is excited to oversee
the yearbook and journalism class at Lamplighter. Her background as a professional photographer will enable her to teach the students the basics in both photography and writing and hopefully inspire a passion for both.
This year Mrs. Vargas will partner with her husband to direct
the Lamplighter Academy Theater Program.

Ramon Vargas
Theater
Mr. Vargas will be partnering with his wife, Julie Vargas, to direct the Lamplighter Academy Theater Program. A graduate of Central Michigan University, he has taught high school Spanish for 13 years in the classroom and has currently taught high school FLVS Spanish for three years.
He has an extensive background in youth ministry with drama and worship teams for 12 years and was a Kiwanis camp lifeguard and canoe instructor for 10 years. In theater, Ramon was the lead role in Cinderella and traveled within schools with the drama team, scriptwriting and performing.
On the side, Ramon can either be found performing music with his wife regionally on latin percussion and guitar, or he will be at the pool swimming laps. He looks forward to sharing his love for acting and theater with the Lamplighter students this year.

Alejandra Abreu
Spanish 1 & 2
Mrs. Abreu is a native Spanish speaker, having grown up in Venezuela. She taught English to Venezuelan students for several years before moving to the United States and home schooling her own children into middle and high school.
Mrs. Abreu is passionate about helping her students reach fluency through a method called TPRS where the students experience full immersion in the classroom setting.
She is looking forward to taking our Spanish students to the next level in their
fluency this year.

Carol Gay
Business Math, Physical Science, Speech, Debate & Mock Trial
Mrs. Gay has been tutoring/teaching students for the past 16 years in the Orlando area. Originally from Augusta, GA, she moved to Orlando in 2006, with her husband and 2 children. Her daughter is a senior at UCF and her son is an upcoming senior in high school. They were both homeschooled since the 1st grade.
Mrs. Gay has a Bachelor of Business Administration/Marketing degree from Georgia Southern University. She taught elementary aged students for 9 years; middle school IEW/Grammar for 1 year; and high school Algebra, Physical Science, American Government, Lost Tools of Writing, American Literature, Debate, Latin, Economics, and Traditional Logic 1 for the past 4 years.
While she loves math and science, she has discovered that debate is the subject she has seen students grow the most by instilling confidence and giving them the ability to formulate valid arguments, even the ones who claim they "can’t do it”. She values the relationships she has built over the years and looks forward to continually helping students discover the gifts God has given them.

Cheniene Blake
Biology & Chemistry
Mrs. Blake is a native Floridian, born and raised in Orlando. She was homeschooled
from 1st-12th grade and loved every second of it. She graduated from UCF in 2018
with her B.S. in Biology and will be graduating with her Biology M.A. from Miami University’s Project Dragonfly program. She has had one research paper published
and has had the privilege of presenting her research at several
student scientific conferences.
Mrs. Blake is passionate about the biological sciences and making them come to life for her students. {We like to think of her as our resident Ms. Frizzle.} When she isn’t working on schoolwork or research she enjoys spending time with her husband, Mr. Nathan Blake, being outside, traveling, and hanging out with their dog.

Rachele Cumbie
Middle School Maths, MS Bible, MS Geography & Astronomy
Mrs. Cumbie has been tutoring individual students and teaching classes within the Central Florida homeschool community for the last 11 years. When asked about her favorite subjects to teach, her response was "well, all of them". She loves teaching, growing in knowledge, fostering a love of learning, and mentoring students.
Mrs. Cumbie is a Florida native, born in Orlando, and raised in Clermont. She has been homeschooling for the last 16 years. Three of her four children have graduated. One holds his Master's Degree in Creative Writing, and another was awarded a full scholarship to the University of her choice this spring based on her SAT score, classical education and volunteer work within the community. Her youngest student is starting her junior year with Lamplighter Academy this fall.

Kelley Murphy
English Literature & Composition
Mrs. Murphy comes to us with 20+ years of experience teaching Literature and History at
the high school level. Her passion for each genre comes through in her teaching and
helps students learn to appreciate all styles, whether or not they necessarily enjoy them.
Mrs. Murphy is originally from the Washington D.C. area. Her husband pastors a church
here locally, and they have 4 children, ages 7-13. She has also written curriculum
for Hillsdale College.
